CJ frame number

    i have a frame number on my 1958 willys that is 6 digits long by the passenger side front wheel and back wheel. Can anyone tell me what they refer to?

    They are too short to be a VIN

    Any info would be great. Thanks

    My '57 has the same stamped numbers, but only 5 digits, but they correspond to the last 5 digits of my VIN on the data plate. Possibly your frame/ body/ dataplate have been changed through the years.
