More on my 231 swap

Took the valve covers off my 231 odd fire. The rockere arms are dry and when I fire up the engine, no oil anywhere. It is making a rapping noise like the lifters are stuck. I have 60 lbs of oil preasure. The guy that did the rebuild used 225 head gaskets. The heads are from a 1975 buick (funny notch on the lip means I cant use my 225 valve covers) Any one know if maybe the head gasket could be the problem? Any Ideas?
