    Ok, Hi all,
So, i am wondering about Tire Size....im running a 69 Cj5 :v6: and ross box setup....currently i am running 235/75R15's on it, but want something skinnier, that will fit on those rims...

Anybody out here know what sizes/makes are available for that size rims? What sizes do you all run?

    Thanks!

On the Limo I run 33x10.50 on 7's.
I really like the 33x10.50 size.

I used to run 33x12.50 on 10's on the '71. It would have been better all around if I had run the 10.50s on that rig (with appropriate 7" width and only a couple inches of backspacing).

Well, thats a great question... i really dont know... i went out and looked on the rim to see if it was stamped somewhere....but i dont see anything stamped on it... i did some searching and the tires that are on it can fit on 15X6, 15X7 or 15X8....what i do know is that the tires on it are way wider than i want.....ill go out an measure it in a bit :D thank you patrick (again):easy rider:

Hard to measure the width with tires on them. They're either 7" wide or 8".
    I'd bet they're 7's.

Yup - 33X10.5 or 31X10.5 is what I like to run.

I run the 33X10.50 BFG's. I wish more companies made this size. I really like BFG, but some options might be nice. I realize Swampers come in this size, but they don't make round tires.

Bead to bead on the wheels are 8" so i think they are 15X8.

Outsides? The true measurement is on the inside where the bead of the tire actually seats. If you measured 8" on the outside overall, they're probably 7's.

great question - it was more of a guesstimate - through the spokes, and with my hand as the leveler, the bead lip on the wheel (not the rim lip) was approx 8" - if i leveled at the outside of the rim lip, it was much closer to 9. but then again, at the same time - the 235/75R15 tires that are on the jeep seem to be alot wider than the ones on my dakota...but i didnt measure them to check..... i dunno - i would love to have some old school skinnys....may have to get new wheels....

I'm running 235/75's on my stock 62 rims, and they seem pretty skinny. But the 235's I have mounted to another set of wider spoked rims, they look much wider.

Rim width can affect how wide the tire 'looks' as well I think.
