Have had a problem getting my clutch to engage/disengage. At this point I believe the fulcrum has become disconnected from the throwout bearing. The current plan is to loosen the trans and slide it back far enough to work on this.

Tonight I dropped the driveshafts and crossmember. The 1/2" bolts to the bellhousing are TIGHT. There appears to be a spacer between the trans and bellhousing that is about 1 1/2" thick held in place by 4 3/8 or 7/16 bolts. Can I disconnect there instead of right at the bell?

Don't know what setup you have but, I just replaced my transmission. Your clutch fork could have come off of the ball on the bellhousing. I didn't see a way for the throwout bearing to come off of the clutch fork with everything installed. And I would think you could unbolt at the adapter. No expert, just my opinion.

I would think you could do either or.........when I last changed my clutch I had to go back in as well and did so at the adapter
