Got the winch controls in place, and wired up the ARB, near buttoning it up.

Next time you are spraying synthetic enamel, add a hardener to it. You need to make sure your breathing is safe, but you would have to do that anyway when you spray BC/CC. Your low line synthetic enamel will be much harder, much more resistant to fade and such when you use a hardener/catalyst.

OK, I've decided to pull the driveline. I'm gonna add a 2.5 ltr from a YJ or TJ, a manual and a Dana 300. So the Fhead, rebuilt T90 and rebuilt D20 are going to be replaced. I want fuel injection.

Fuel injection rocks! Even with all the trouble I had setting mine up, it was definitely worth it.

With the stumbling carb, and craply clutch control, I need something more dependable/ or something more point and go. AA makes a 21 spline input shaft for the Dana 300 so i can mate that to a four clyinder 2.5 manual transmission. I got a lead on a shorty D300.....

Looks like I'll need to make a fuel tank for the rear, done it before. What are everyone's thoughts on a in tank fuel pump versus an external tank fuel pump?

It's a hell of a lot easier to replace an external pump if you are out in the boonies and it quits. I pack a spare with the fittings already attached . . . . . . just in case.

OK, got my driveline. Need to pull it out of the donor vehicle. 2.5ltr fuel injected engine and stock YJ 5 speed, gonna mate that to a Dana300. Gotta pull the engine and transmission out of a perfectly working jeep, and mothball the rest. Picking up the Dana300 next week along with a 2000 XJ Sport that needs some header panel and front bumper replacement. All in all, one project, just turned into three.......

Got tyhe front clip completely off, pulled the seats and fuel tank. About two hours of slow work and the engine, tranny and t-case will be out. Then gotta pull the same from the YJ. Finished the XJ, and its running well. Will post pics soon.

Not much to note, working on trimming down the engine wiring harness on the 2.5 ltr. Reading wiring diagrams and stuff, tracing wires, lots of fun stuff, but nothing pic worthy right now. I['m debating on whether or not I pull the manual saginaw box and swap in the Wrangler power box..... I'd like to keep the stock ECJ5 steering wheel. If I keep the manual steering I need to locate a idler assembly that replaces the power steering pump on the engine.

I vote for PS. It's sure nice in 4wd. That way you don't have to set down your beer while you make a sharp turn! ;)

Well, I think I'm down to figuring out how to wire my ignition switch. I'm trying to mate the YJ engine harness and Power Distribution Center to the EZ Wire harness. I think I'm making this too difficult. Time to just cut and try it.

I think I figured out how to mate my intermediate sahft to the YJ box. So converting to power steering may something I will do. It'll make turing the wheel with the ARB locked in much easier than the manual gear box now. So much for Popeye forearms.

If it's your 68, it should be like 3 or 4 wires. Constant from the battery goes to the batt terminal. The accessory terminal gets power when you turn the key to accessories, start gets power when you turn to start and IGN gets power when the ignition is on. Ground is through the ignition lock it's self.

Make sure that the wire to the coil is on the correct terminal coming from the ignition switch. It's not uncommon to accidentally hook the coil power to a terminal that goes dead when cranking.
