I was just attempting to install an aluminum radiator aaaaand, it turns out that the return line for the radiator is too close to clear the fan. It's only off by about 1-1.5 in. but that's enough to hit the fan when the radiator hose is attached.

Any ideas? I was thinking run a 90 degree off the radiator away from the fan, or I guess I could switch to an electric fan..R)

    Anyway, here's the pics

I think that link may be dead? Is there a keyword I could search?

I had a similar issue when installing my radiator purchased from Speedway Motors. As I did, take the radiator to a local shop and have them either move the outlet away from the fan or at least cut and reweld the outlet at a slight angle giving the hose the clearance needed. When I had mine relocated, it cost me just $25.00 for the work.

if you can't move the radiator down or over to the drivers side more for clearance, only thing I can think of is smaller diameter fan blades. I hate to even mention that as those factory blades for V8s pulled a lot of air. You need all the air flow you can get.
I don't see enough room in the tank to relocate the lower outlet.

The Ford Taurus fans also pull a lot of air, IIRC 5000CFM!
