Gas tank options

    I am wondering if anyone has an idea of replacing my 78 cj5 fuel tank with maybe a 2001 TJ ( i found one of those ) fuel tank or something else compatible.. I can not find a fuel tank here in Mexico for my jeep and mine is toast. I am doing one more try by going to Cancun (80 miles) with a hose in a jerry jug.. not fun. My tank that I had in, I found out today it was from a VW bug.. HAHA,, oh the learning parts of this.

    You'll have a problem using a late model fuel injection gas tank which has the fuel pump inside the tank unless you figure out a way to adapt the fuel sender/pickup.
