I have a harness kit that has a alternator exciter wire. I don't think I'm going to need it for my F134 with voltage regulator and generator, any ideas? I think I'll leave it in the wire loom incase I ever need it.....

Are you using or going to use the GEN light or are you using an ammeter or volt meter? Yes leave it in the wire loom. You will find a use for it later.

Hi Walt, I was only planning on using the gen light but now I am thinking of going the volt meter route instead. Would something be done differently in either route??

Yes the gen light is wired diff than the volt meter. The volt meter needs a wire that comes hot with key "ON" and the other wire goes to ground. The volt meter should be labeled + and - or pos neg.
