I replaced the springs on my 2A with a 1" lift kit. Everything fit fine, except the front end was lower than the rear. I called the supplier who really would do nothing about it other than want to sell me an extended shackle kit. Instead, I opted for a 2 1/2" lift spring set for the front and sold the 1" to someone else who only wanted front springs and a slight front lift. My issue is now; the shackles on the front are at about 7 - 8:00 i.e. pushed forward instead of being close to 6:00 - vertical. It is as though the spring is about
1" too long. I have double checked the part number and no longer have my original springs to check against. Has anyone else experienced these issues?

I think I was the one who bought your 1" Superliftsprings? Ill go measure them.

Ok center of eye to center of eye un-mounted is 35"

My stock very shot stock springs that are on my 2A now measure 36 1/4" and the shackles are pretty far forward like a little passed the 7:00 position?

A picture would sure help but it sounds fine to me you want your shackles pointing forward a bit.
    Hope that helps.

The shackles should not be at 6 oclock. They should be slightly forward, as you described. At vertical they'll ride rough.

Sounds like the new springs are just right.

The Cj5/6 springs are about 3.25" longer than the flattys which probably would not even bolt up with stock shackles. If they did, the shackle would be someplace close to 9:00 and function the same as if it was not present-with both ends of the spring mounted directly to the frame.
