d18 help

dont think the search function is woriking so here we go. I am seperatong my d18 from a t15 tranny, got all the bolts out but cannot figure how to get the gear out of the pto hole. it is holding the tcase onto the tranny. Is there a c-clip holding it there or does the nut come out and release everything. If so i will have to buy a socket that will fit.

 

should be able to remove the nut, and slide the gear off the shaft and seperate, be carefull the whole shaft may try to come out, and then the roller bearings from the inputshaft will fall down and go every where. you cant see the bearings i am talking about untill its apart. not the big bearing that mounts up front in the case.

edit: t-15 i know nothing about, sorry. i was describeing the t90

 

Make sure you have all 5 bolts out. One bolt goes front to back between the trans and the shifters.

 

I had the same problem between a T90 and D18. Don't know how different it is for a T15, but there is a "hidden" bolt as mentioned above. Good luck! It drove ME crazy!
