frame question

    i need to replace the frame on my 67 cj,it has been repaired too many times. my question is will a 63 cj frame work i found 1 around town and am supposed to go look at it tomorrow hopefully someone can give me some insight thanks randy

    There may be a few minor differences, the most trouble would be if you have a V6, the 63 would have F4 mounts if still stock changing them over is a fairly minor exercise if you're tolerably good at welding. Other than than that the tub mounts will be exactly the same.

    V6 engine mounts can be had from Novak Conversions and others. I've used theirs and they are very adjustable. Inspect the frame carefully around the spring hangers and shackle hangers, the front crossmember area. That's where you will find most of the cracks, if any. If you are going to wheel your Jeep om moderate to difficult trails I'd box the whole thing while you have it bare.
