fuel filter questions

    Okay, my Rochester 2G carb has one of those filters that look like a tube made out of little gold-colored nodules. there's also a regular canister-style in-line filter between the fuel pump and the carb.

    do i need both of these, or just one? if just one, which one is better?

    also, is there supposed to be a vacuum line going to the silver canister-style filter?
