Rochester rebuild...Unknown parts

    Well I did it last night. I was pretty scared though and was up until midnight putting it back together. So far so good though. It was a little hard though because the kit fits a few diffrent carb's.

    Heres a question though. I found this tin thing between the pump and the float bowel. What is it? Im not seeing in any books, or diagram's. It looks a little out of place but fit well. Also there was no ceramic ball under the acelrator pump, so do I put one back in there? I would hate to put it back on and then have to tear it back apart, even though its the story of my life

    That tin piece is a baffle of sorts. I've run them with and without, with no difference noticed. The check ball under the acc. pump is steel, not ceramic.
