Back-up light switch?

    I've got a '69 3-speed (T86) and the backup light switch is kaput. the wire seems to go to the top of the transmission, where's the switch supposed to be? and can i replace the switch without dropping the transmission?

    On the transmission shift top.

    Remove the floor plates to replace.

    More than the boot. The trans cover, not the larger floor panels. Easy - take the boot off and look, and you'll see it.
