I installed a Heatercraft heater last year, which required running heater hoses through the firewall behind the glove box and into the side of the heater which is directly in the middle of (and behind) the dash. After seeing some video of injuries caused by bursting hoses, I want to do something to protect my passengers. I have seen some easy to install sleeving for hydraulic hoses, but not sure if that would be sufficient. I suppose I could plumb with copper or stainless tubing, but there's still no redundancy with that approach. Also thinking about making sheet metal ducting or pvc tube to run the hoses through. Has anybody done anything they think works well? Thanks.

    Couple of ideas,
Sleave the heater hose with a larger diameter hose.

Use a high quailiy hose from the begining with adiquate support and chafe protection.

Run hardline inside tub. But watch out for vibration induced cracking.
