    Hello,

I am looking for a lift kit for a 67 CJ5 and have narrowed it down to two choices. Rough Country or BDS. I'll love to hear any opinions on either as I am actually looking for a stiff sping to the the weight of a V8, fiberglass body and winch. At this time, I can not do the YJ spring conversion.

    Thanks in advance.

I used a Rough Country 4" lift kit on my 87 Wrangler and am very happy with both the quality of the kit, the fit and mostly the improvement in Ride.

Could not say anything wrong with my BDS kit on my 70, and the warranty is stellar

I have gotten really nice springs from BDS. There is no better warranty. I Have used them on later Jeeps, but not with early ones. There line may have expanded though.

I have BDS on my 71. If one breaks, wears, or if I feel like going a different height I can return them for a free exchange or pay the difference if going higher, can't do that with RC.

Have a set of BDS YJ springs for my 77 as well.

go BDS. They are expensive but you never have to worry about breaking them. you break one and they send you two replacements. for life. no fine print.

I had a 4.5" BDS kit on my CJ-7-- loved them-- super strong & surprisingly flexible.
