2.5 in springs

    I am looking into putting dodge dakota springs on my 51 willys. I will have to do some frame stretch for now to get them to work. My main ? is with them being 2.5 wide can i clearance the backside on the steering stop. See any problems with doing that?

    anybody? for those that know i am building a new frame for it. But im waiting for next summer when more $$ allows it. For now i just want more flex without a ton of money.

    If sticking with the stock axles it would pretty much be wasting time. Just not gonna gain anything, but a whole lotta work. When you factor in the hangers, u-bolts, plates and shock mounts------Just wait and do it once. If building a new frame for stock axles, once again there is nothing to gain.
