Heat treat is everything with springs. Using a torch will take the hardness right out of your springs. Some shops can rearch springs but I'm not sure how long it lasts. Rearching back to stock is one thing. Arching for more lift won't work so well because your shackle angles will be all wrong. A spring designed for 4" lift takes longer material to keep the same shackle angle when at rest. If you rearch for more lift your shackles will swing inward and will resist flexing. I'd keep it stock until you can afford a spring lift.

You can regain some lost height on your stock springs by replacing worn out bushings, bolts, and shackles. Many times when one installs a lift kit they find the shackle holes all egged out, bushings completely worn through, and bolts worn almost in half. It's a wonder the bolts didn't just break on my Jeep. Maybe 2/3 of the material was worn away where it passed through the shackles.

Better off to buy new ones. I asked a couple of truck spring shops here in Denver, and they wouldn't even consider it, waste of time and money.
