I have a rear gas tank and my fill port is in the back. The gasket that holds/cushions it in the body hole is cracked beyond all measure and doesn't look like it is going to last a lot longer. Vintage Jeep has "Call" next to the part I'm assuming is the right piece [654758]... which concerns me a bit. Can't seem to locate it in 4wd.com's catalog.

There are a lot of flanges for mounting the neck... but they are not true to the intermediate. All post '75.

Dare I call or is there a place that would have these on-hand?

Did you check Walcks, Krage, The Jeep Guy, Herm......?

IIRC I bought one from Krage - haven't installed it yet.

Jeep PN is 654758. Their catalog shows it. You can find lots of other sources using Google and the PN.

What I need is to learn some of these standard tricks... I have yet to do searching by PN... so, I'll begin there. Thanks again for bailing out my half-learned attempt!

Well, there you go. My price-list must be out of date... super! It's more internet surfing for me and less porcelain-throne research.
