I'm thinking about a military color for my engine when I do my '59 cj5 build. Looking arround online I can't find an engine paint but have seen other forums describe using regular milspec paint like this.

I'm thinking an off-white (cool vanilla?) body and wheel color with olive details here and there, like the seat frames, tailgate stencils, engine etc.

Anyone know if this will work as an engine paint?...thanks.

/\/\ make sure you give it plenty of time to cure and then some

paint will not work on exhaust, at least headers.

I used the Rustoleum Camoflage Deep Forest Green to paint my engine,,and body,, and just about everything else, seems to be holding up very well. It is a flat finish, are you looking for gloss? If so a clearcoat should fix you right up.
