On my 59 cj5 are the frame rails supposed to narrow at the very front? I found frame dimensions that say 29.25 outside but doesnt say anything about narrowing? Thanks

Up to 76, frames rails were parallel. In 76 they widened out the frame rails from the firewall back. I have a 74 tub on a 76 frame. you could have a 59 tub on a 76+ frame.

Or your frame might be bent.

Do you have picts? Do you have front disc's? What motor?

My frame is the original 59 frame and one side appears to"run" in a little bit so I was just curious before I started moving things around. Thanks for the replies

If one of the front frame horns is bent in, that implies that you have the bumper off. The bumper is riveted from the factory, and should hold the frame horns parallel.

Yes the front bumper is off and isnt useable. The PO had a strange bumper on that was held on with bolts, no rivets. I think I will get as close to the correct measurement as I can and bolt a front bumper on and call it good. Thanks for the reply
