How do you take the inner frame out of the tube hinge thing on the 2-A? I was able to get the lower supports off (they kind of fell off). I have decided to buy the entire inner frame, because making one is way beyond my metal fab skills. I got the whole frame for 25$ and it needs a lot of TLC, but I think I can fix it up. How far does the inner frame swing out from the outer frame? Because I was only able to get to swing out about 3 inches and it took some effort to make go that far?

I used a block of wood and a BFH, My glass was already broke but I could not have got it out without breaking the glass.

If you need any windshield parts, let me know. I have everything in pretty good shape, but the outer frame has some 3/4" od pipe on it from a hack-job. it is all usable, but shipping from Texas might put you off.

A complete windshield is quite expensive, if I recall correctly the one I just got from Walcks was $677 plus shipping.

prob late on this 1 but i used some wd40 and move it in and out until it moved freely. i had a lot of rust/metal come out of the hinge. it should open a little over 90 from the frame. it then slides out dr side... or pass  but there should be a little dent on the dr side so the inner frame doesn't bind on the tube frame. i did the same with the wd40 to slide it out. tapped the inner frame out until it stopped and then tapped it back in. spray repeat.

a couple hrs later it was free!:)

edit: oh and use the wood that larryd suggested
