Dana 27a rebuild questions

    Hi I have recently gotten up to my *** in a Dana 27a front axle rebuild. Well, I should say tear-down, because tearing it apart (even with the Haynes, Chiltons and Moses Ludel's Jeep Rebuilder's Manual) I am running into one thing after another! Now I can't get the differential carrier out. I have followed all the steps listed in the manuals, and according to Ludel "two prybars lifting evenly the carrier comes out" WRONG! Any advice?

    Turn the pinion while prying that will usually help it to walk out. I comes out just the way the manual says it's just stubborn. It's a Jeep what did you expect. Make sure you keep track of the bearing caps and that they go back where they came from, their usually stamped.
