I posted the start of this thread here before but can not find it now...:?

Anyhow, I know how most of us "guys" are visual animals, I apologize to any females on the board but from experience I doubt there are many...so here are the pictures, hopefully.

I was asked for pictures first time around and did not have them hosted anywhere so had to find time to find a site, download etc etc.

So I have the pics of my entire frame up restoration, they might be a little out of order, but you get the idea, comments welcome.

PS. My 12 year old son helped all the way through...:)

Very nice!!! I'm restoring a 1956, but I'm getting so anal about making it as "correct" as possible that I'm starting to doubt my sanity. Thank God these guys talked me into installing a better front axle. It'll have some safety and reliability upgrades that won't be terribly obvious, but my goal is for it to look like it just rolled out of the showroom in 1956.

    Fogducker, isn't that a M38A1, not a CJ5?

Looks like an A1 to me. With the exception of the front spring shackles.....

The original tub was past it's prime and a new CJ5 tub was going to cost me a small fortune to get here, I came across a VERY good deal on a basically new reproduction M38A tub and couldn't turn it down, I know, not totally original and for the purists, taboo, but it fit the CJ5 frame perfectly and after all, it is still a Jeep...:)

All the rest of the vehicle is the original CJ5 matching numbers parts.
