I live at 3500 ft. above sea level, and 'wheel around 3000 ft - 5500 ft above sea level. I just acquired a Motorcraft 2100 carburetor and I'm going to get a rebuild kit for it and rebuild it and then put it on my 225. I'm wondering if I should go to a different jet size for the carb when I tear into it. I believe it has #47 jets in it (its a 2 bbl), and I saw one thing that suggests going to #45 jets for higher elevation. Should I just use the #47's, or try to find #45's, or what? The Jeep seems to run rich now with my Rochester, and I bought it from a place that was about 400ft above sea level, so roughly 3000 ft lower than me. Anyway, if anyone knows a thing or two about carb jet sizing, please help me out, I would appreciate it! Thanks.
