So I am one step closer to start work on the old girl. Like most of you the wife thinks I am wasting my time, but she will be singing another song when Grumpy is finished.

Here are a few pic's I snapped last night of Grumpy on deck....

I was looking at the tailgate and there is no rot, however someone evidently mistook it for a sive (sp?) and drilled many holes into it. Nothing I should not be able to fill in with the welder.

There is a twin stick setup, and a stick for the Ramsey winch up front. Evidently the front bearings on the drive lone of the PTO are bad but I will find out once I tear into it. When I crawled underneath there is a place to hook up a rear winch, I was pretty excited about that.....R)

Not sure who the manufacturer is of this top but I will more then likely put a soft top on it. Not absolute but I am pretty positive....

Since my dad and grandfather purchased it back in 85 it has spent most of its time sitting in a machine shed waiting for someone to take on the challenge.....

What I do not understand is who in their cotton pickin mind would paint it pink? If you look you can see the pink under the black.

I really need to get the color code from under the hood to see what the original color was.

Thanks! I did not realize how many people on here were from Iowa. I am not sure if you have seen BenFoley post on here but he is from Cedar Rapids too.

Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but wasn't pink actually a factory color option on some years?

I think you have a great starting point on that jeeep. I bet you can get her running in a day or so with a little luck.
