    Hi All;
    I just bught brakes for the 66 yesterday but no one seems to have the spring kits that goes with them. I am not sure if the old ones are good enough to reuse. I have 10" brakes. Some places carry the kits for 11" brakes but not mine. Any suggestions?
    thanks
    Cindy

    Re the springs, you can test them by dropping them on a concrete floor. If they buzz when they hit the floor, they are bad. Good springs wil sound like a pebble - one click.

    Parts for 10" brakes are hard to find. Some other members might have suggestions, or you could advertise for good used pieces in the classifieds here.

    Parts availability is one reason the 10" brakes are often upgraded to the later 11" brakes, or to front disks.

    Thanks for that info. We were able to reuse what we had and the brakes are on. Now it's on to rebuilding (hopefully) the master cylinder.
