I have a '55 and the rear floor is perplexing me. My understanding is that the ribs should run from the front to the back, with a space for the front mounts for the seat brackets part of the way back, then more space at the rear for the rear seat brackets - I hope that makes sense.

My floor only has only one pause in the ribs on the passenger side and does have the space at the rear for the rear brackets - so it's lacking the one space for the mount on the drivers side. My two center ribs also start about 12" behind the front seats - much farther back than the other ribs.

    Any clue?

Perfect!!! Looks like mine and all the replacement panels being made.

Okay, so for you purists, why is there only one space for the front foot of the rear seat (passenger side)? Why is there not one on the drivers side?
