    I'm currently looking at a 84 cj7 for sale locally. Engine is the 4 cyl. I've never had any experience with these. Any suggestions about these engines?

    Is it the GM iron duke or the AMC 2.5 L engine.

    I have one in my 86 Comanche it has 250000 miles on it. Rebuilt at 242000.
    It does ok with stock tires
    Now mine was the first ear with FI.

    The AMC 150 is well regarded. 1984 was the first year, and should be a carbureted engine.
