I just added another CJ6 to my collection of 20+ Jeeps. This one is kinda odd to me. It has data plates sorta like a Military Jeep on the Dash. It was built in 1965 but I think it is titled as a 1966. I'm just curious if anyone has any records of what the goverment ordered this Jeep for. It also has some other warning labels sorta like what you see on military jeeps. It has data plates on the passenger firewall with Goverment order GS-4452 and trim and paint codes. I'm wanting to restore this jeep back to factory. Just curious if anyone has any details about the goverment order stuff.

My 70 CJ6 has that same data plate, and it was a Border Patrol Jeep.
Yours could be from any of the goverment agent like forest service,

    Yes we do like pictures.

I took some pictures with my blackberry of the plates. Trying to figure out how to post it now. I started to get in the CJ6 collecting mood over the last year or two. I think I got 9 CJ-6s and 4 M170s at the moment.

Rest of the pictures. Sorry for the poor quality. Only had my camera on my blackberry with me and it only holds like 12 pictures

    maybe Air Force Jeep ?
paint code = Nordic Blue metallic
trim code indicates 2/3-1/3 bench seat Amber metallic vinyl
    trim code suggests 1962-1963 manufacture...
    who knows ?

20+ Jeeps? I guess one can never have too many Jeeps. Now I wonder how I've gotten by with just one Jeep all these years.

I'll have to do some more research when I get back in town Sunday. It looks like it is a reddish color or white. Don't see anywhere it looks to be blue at but will check the hard to paint locations. It has two regular style seats but like any jeep they could be swapped out. The tag on the dash says it was built in 65. Guess I'll have to look up the serial numbers and see what exactly matches.
