4 lo

When I have been wheeling and then head out onto the road I need to stop and unlock my front hubs in order to get the TC out of 4 lo. Its always some what of a pain as everybody else just takes it out of 4lo into 2 Hi to head on down the road. Is there something wrong with my dana 300 TC? Would a twin stck set-up help?

Probably nothing wrong with the 300. Its a gear driven t-case and when its bound up it can be almost impossible to get out of gear. Try rolling at a very slow speed (1 or 2 MPH) with the clutch pushed in while you shift the t-case.

Even with a twin stick my 20 is a pain at times. If I am dead stopped, I normally have to take the rear out then I can take the front out. With just a little bit of wheel roll I can get the front to disengage pretty easily.

 

On my 75, I sometimes have to put it in reverse for a few feet before it can be taken out of 4 lo....

 

just a bump on the throttle and a pull on the stick....
