New voltage gauge needed, or old one repaired...

    My temp gauge was pessed high. I knocked it to the low peg by reversing the wires. Prior to hooking the gauge back up, I verified the voltage btw the 2 wires (Black and Gold, IIRC). I got the expected reading.

    When I hooked it back up, it pegged high AGAIN.

    1: Can it be fixed?
    2: if not, is there a NOS supply of them somewhere? I couldnt find one on eBay...
