I bought a best top replacement top but it isn't lining up quite right. After lots of streching, it is really tight and I could only get all the snaps if I unzipped 1 side of the rear window. But I can't get the window zipped back up and I'm afraid of tearing this new top if I try to stretch it. How wide is the rear bow supposed to be? oh, this is a 79 cj5 --I can't find ANYTHING on the middle and rear bow as far as specks go.- yes checked the ws to back distance, it's correct.

How warm is it wehre you are? New tops are real tight. Set them in the sun and let them get nice and tosty warm then try it.

Then again, it just might not fit........

I was asking if you were asking for bow specs for a Whitco.

Won't do me much good to give you measurements off mine if it's a Bestop or Kayline or...

MMMM, it's a bestop. the weather up here has been wet and chillier than usual, so I am waiting for a warm day to try and stretch it more. I did have some success getting it to fit a little better yesterday, but I'm waiting for the sun to pull it any more (started to see the seams stretch). My real concern was the width of the rear roof bow, but after doing extensive online research yesterday, I think mine is fine. just needs more pulling and working it.--oh, it's a 79 cj5, not really upgrading her yet, just trying to breath some new life in her, get it to where I can drive the heck out of her. I needed to start from the frame up, but I also have to protect it from the weather. LOTS to do- just the beginning ,Thanks for all the replys
