Almost any off the jeep parts places have them. I purchased a polished S.S. one a couple years ago.

have the SS ones...if you want plaine steel then you need to find used. At least when I looked a couple of years ago.

Well OK so you want a mild steel cover. why?? if you want to paint it just run it thru your glass bead cabinet, spray it down with POR metal ready and paint it.Or PM me about buying my original .

The '76-86 is completely different. From '76 on, the windshield design changes and the motor moves to inside the passenger space. No more cover on the outside.

Patrick, i guess i'm just lucky ,I bought one a couple years ago and it is worth every cent.I assumed maybe he would know someone. It would take about one minute max to take the shine off and give a nice surface to paint. The POR-15 metal ready is a acid etch that works great on all metal pieces to be painted.thats the same stuff they use before powder coating.most auto machine shops have glass bead service as do gunsmiths, etc. just some places to look.

I'd love to have access to one. In fact I just sent my wife to look at one at a garage sale, but it was sold...

    You are lucky...
