brake shoe adj.

did a search..... do I jack up wheel,and adj.till it drags then back off a little but you can still hear it drag, I have 11" this need s to be done today!

 

If the new shoes have been arched to fit the drum is better, but if not, my method works well and is also the simplest. Tighten the adjuster as tight as you can get it and back off 5 clicks and do this on all wheels. That should make them all the same. Road test on gravel if possible as it will readily show if they all lock up the same..

 

Yes. My shop would turn the drums for my CJ-6 but they said that arcing the shoes is no longer done.

 

well ,these are the old shoes anyway, they were WAY out of adj. the pedal is real close to the top now. ...and it stops AWSOME .it will lock up if pushed that hard NEVER did that before.new mc and adj brakes wow it's a new rig.I'm-a so happy.
