I've read about the Perkins, and seen the post of a guy rebuilding one. But, are there other diesels that will mate with a T-90? I'm assuming a GM style mount.

    Thanks

And many thanks to those responsible for getting this site back up!

Nissan/Datsun made some diesels. VW has a few...that won't work anyway. If you can find one, they are very rare, but a Cerlist came in FC trucks in the 60s, but like I said, finding one is like finding a black grain of sand on a white beach.

what about the diesel that came in some of the chevettes, same bolt pattern as sbc? been thinking about the 4cyl cummins my self, everybody says they are too heavy, but i disagree, seen one put in place of a sbc with no modifications to the suspension, and some folks here have the sbc in a jeep, so no more modifications to the suspension for it V/s a sbc swap

I think if you want a diesel Jeep you will need something better than a T90. But some other good engine options would be the VW, Isuzu, and Nissan. Nissan was stock in the CJ10a tugs, and the Scouts. You can find Isuzu engines that will bolt to GM transmissions. The VW is a good engine. The 6.2/6.5 GM diesels are exactly the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the gas engines, and parts are cheaper than a Cummins. Hope this helps. You may want to check out the 4BTswaps site for more information on different swaps.
