    Hey All,
the P/O decided to just cover up rust holes with this sheet metal. im removeing it all but im not sure how to fill in those 1/8" rivet holes. they would cover a 3" rust hole with an 8" sheet and now i have a bunch of holes way beyond what needs patching. thanks for your help!

Do you have a welder? if not I have used epoxey steel for small holes.

yes i do, but do i just use the flux at a low temp? i dont want to burn through or create a row of "divits" either.

how does the expoxy work? i dont want a bondo type of thing that will crack or pop out of place.

    thanks!

Clamp a piece of strip copper or brass plate behind the hole ( it will conduct the electricity, but the weld material wont merge into it) and weld the holes up, leaving enough material so you can grind it down flush. This has worked well for me in the past.
