Shifting Fork

    I have a 78 cj5 t-18 trans, and my clutch linkage has worn through my shifting fork. I have ordered a new one, but wasnt sure how to go about replacing it.

    can it just be pulled out and a new one slipped in, or does the tranny have to come out.????

    You may have access via the bottom front of the bellhousing...through the inspection plate. I've never had to replace one in situ.
