    Hey All,
I have a 48cj2 that i am building up....its been a realy long process buti was looking into suspension and stuff i think i want to go the wrangler springs route. i DONT want a soa setup. i DO want to run 34's and dont mind doing some trimming to the fenders... the reason for Spring Under? I just want to keep it really simple and basic, no traction bars.

    Ok heres my question...

if i want a 3" lift over stock (to help clear the tires and keep me relitively low) how much lift would i want in the wrangler springs? Rember, SPRING UNDER.

    thanks guys!

    Specs:
    4.3 Vortec
    th350
    dana 18
    dana 27/44 (i have a 30 ready for when the 27 breaks)
    34x10.5 LTB

Probably no more then 2.5". The new spring mounts will lift you some. The 4.5" RE springs I put on wound up closer to 5.5" with the new mounts.

Do all your cost estimates and then look at the Holbrook Springs. The wrangler path seems cheap at first, but can add up if you end up getting new and all the mounts and swaps you need to get it done.

The Holbrooks will clear 34s easy - pics with 33s on my home page.

Check out my buildup http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60125 . I am running the exact same setup as you. I have the Rubicon express 4.5" kit with 34x10.50" swampers on a boxed CJ2A frame. It seems to be sitting just right for height to me so far and as I add weight to the Jeep during the buildup it is settling down. I may have been able to go with the 2.5" Rubicon lift and some trimming I suppose but I am not sure. I like the spring under kits myself and I have been told by some of my peers that this is a nice riding kit.
