speedometer jumping all over

    I start out in my 74 cj-5 304 three speed and my speedo works until it warms up than drops tp 30-35 mph does anyone ever have this problem and what can i do to fix it thanks it does this at 55-65mph and lower

    Could try pouring oil down the cable or replacing it.

    Mine did the same thing, it turned out to be the spedo drive gear in the trans was slipping on the sleeve in the trans. I pulled it and cleaned it with solvent then epoxied it back to the sleeve. It's been reading ok for 2 months now, but I don't know how long it'll last. I plain to get a new one when I go through my trans and tranfer this summer.
