First of all can anyone tell me what jeep a t15a transmission came out of. And i think i read it on this forum but cannot find it has anyone seen a write up or know anyone who has installed one of those clutch linkages from advance adapters (the chain actuated one.) Does it work well?

Anyway a little bit about my build. And I have most of the parts just collecting little things now.

1946 cj2a, will be putting in 4.3l V6 (will probably carberate it), front d30 with discs, d18, rear flanged d44, and t15a tranny. haven't decide what gearing to go with yet. Have a spare rear 44 with 5.38 and would have to get front gearing to match, or i also have a rear 3.73 with limited slip and would have to get front gearing to match. Any suggestions. Oh i am also running 31" rubber to. Nothing to crazy as at first glance i would like my jeep to appear somewhat stock but be able to perform off road and have some comfort items inside for me.

Hoping thiis set up will work out pretty decent like i said have all the big stuff for the most part, now i have to get things like a new brake reservoir, clutch linkage, probably need new d-shafts, and lots of interior things for the jeep to(trying to figure out who is the cheepest and best to deal with on these old replacememnt parts)

The T-15 was used with the 304 V8 in 1972-75 CJs. It was also used in the 304V8 Commando in '72 and '73, and it was the base transmission for full-size Jeep wagons and trucks from mid-1970 through 1979.

This might help for parts source

I swear by Walcks4wd.com. They may not always be cheapest but they are in the ballpark in price and they know there stuff. Also they have helped me out with some used parts when the parts are not available new.
You say you are mating a T15 to a 4.3. Do you have the adapter? I just looked at Novak and Advance Adapter and didn't see anything at first glance. While there is nothing wrong with a T15, I have one, most will be looking for a four speed, possibly with a low first gear especially if you anticipate some trail use. Lots of times I see someone trying to adapt a trans to a motor thinking it is cheaper because you already have the parts but when you start adapting trans to motors you can ending up spending more in adapters. I see SM465's on Craigslist on occasion for $75 locally. You will still need to adapt the trans to your D18 but this is a common swap and Novak has the parts and plenty of tech support.
It's your rig so do the combo you want, just food for thought.

thanks for the advice on walks have to check them out. Well i do have the tranny to engine adapter, and the tcase mounted. I guess the only things i am really looking for to complete my swap is the clutch linkage from advance adapters, steering conversion setup (not sure which system to go with the one from herm the overdrive guy looks pretty good), the dual reservoir brake setup up. manifold and carb for motor, , bunch of gaskets for trans, tcase (for the covers and where they mate up to eachother.)
Boy that sure sounds like a lot now that i wrote it out. and probably forgetting even more at the moment

The parts i do have are
    1) inline fuel pump
    2)conversion headers (AA)
    3) Electric cooling fan
    4) Rad
    5) Trans dapt motor mounts (Anyone used these i am not to sure about them)
    6) fuel lines
    7) d30 front with complete disc setup
    8) flanged d44

Cant even remember it all, oh yah gues i have to find some time to start putting it all together cannot wait.

I would go 5:38's not 3:73's and also agree with using a sm465 not the T-15.
