I'm thinking of removing these hose connections on my 1973 258 with 1982 intake. I'll only be using it in warmer weather and thought they wouldn't be necessary. Anyone removed these with little or no difficulty? They seem pretty well secured.
    Thanks,
    Rick

i would HIGHLY recommend against that. The manifold heat greatly helps in fuel atomization.

I was mainly thinking that in the summer weather that heat added to the manifold would hurt not help the performance. There will already be warm to hot air coming in the carb as it is, never mind adding more heat with the hot water flow. Does this make sense, or would the added heat be a plus?
I can see it's use in cold weather, thought it might be excessive heat for warm weather. :?
    Appreciate all opinions.
    Thanks,
    Rick
