I have been searching and can't find how to check the caster! I have a angle finder but I need to know where on the axle to get the closest reading. Thanks guys.

The most accurate way to determine caster angle is on an alignment maching. If you can get you rig or axle if it's out of the vehicle perfectly leve according to the leaf spring plates, take your angle finder or bubble level and measure the forward or rear tilt of the steering knuckles. You need postive caster so the vehicle will track straight so you want the knuckles tilted rearward approx. 3 degrees or so. My FSM says 3 degrees postive plus or minus 1.
