Well after leaving the jeep sitting almost all winter without starting it will not start. I spent time this winter on wiring and at one point I think I left the key on. I figured I cooked the coil so I put a new coil, points (They had a over heated blue metal look on the metal arm to the point) and condenser. I have 12+ volts at the + side of coil, point gap of .020 but I seem to get 1 spark then nothing or sometimes just nothing. Even with the timing light on the coil wire I get one flash then nothing, She alway started right up before what should I look for? Also when I touch the new coil when trying to start it's really hot. Thanks

Sounds like you have a defective condenser. Also remember that new points sitting on store shelf will corrode somewhat, so you should pull a piece of white paper between closed point contacts. You will see a black mark on paper (corrosion) and keep pulling it through untill paper is clean. HtH.

Thanks Walt I have another condenser and points coming from Krage. The first condenser and points I got at a local parts store and he seemed a little confused. I ordered a spare set last thursday they should be here any day. I post if that works.
