Anyone have any tips for getting old nasty ones out?

I PB Blaster-ed the heck out of em, used a tapered socket, washer and bolt to try and drive them out but no go..

    Thanks in advance,

    Greg

    Which pivot bracket?

At the worst, you can grind out a slot in them with a die grinder and collapse them.

Do you mean the spring hangers?

Oh, a lot of discussion about that previously if you search. The dealership mechanics used an air hammer. The most popular method today seems to be to assemble a hacksaw with the blade through the hole, saw a slot in the shell, and peel it out.

For future searchers who find them selves with out any hacksaw blades (like myself) a small drill bit works just as good, rip the bushings in a couple places and pound them out with a big screw driver.

I used an air hammer on mine. Worked like a charm.
