Hey guys, I'm looking for some help. I'm restoring my body and I need a new center floor panel section for my 63 CJ6. Does anyone have any suggestions for where I may find one or know of anyone who fabs them? So far I;ve had no luck. Thanks in advance!

I would call Classic Enterprises and ask for their advice. They may be able to point you to a shop that can make them. It's a fairly simple panel - any hot rod shop should be able to make it.

It's possible that JeePanelsPlus would make them for you.

Another possibility is to cut out the flat sections in your existing panels and weld in new steel.

It appears that Jeepanelsplus is out of buisness, at least I couldn't find anything. I could weld in new flat steel, but it wouldn't look right, it nees the rolled sections. I've contacted Classic Enterprises. Anyone else have any ideas?

    JeePanels Plus:

I'd be surprised if you were able to find them though - 6's were an low volume oddball.

Another possibility is to hammer-form the ribs. I don't have any experience with it, but it's covered in sheet metal forming books.

How bad is the current panel? I was not suggesting replacing the whole panel with flat stock, but instead replacing the rusted-out parts, keeping the ribbed part. Usually the ribs won't rust, because they are higher than the rest of the floor.

I can take some pics and measurements for you. I'll get back to you.

All you need is the floor panel between the drop to the front floor and the CJ-5 floor panel, yes?

Thanks a lot for the pictures. Can you leave them up for a few days so I can send them to Classic Enterprises?

    Hey Tim,
Can you take a few pics of the underside of the body where the intermediate floor section ties into the front floor pan and where it ties into the rear floor pan? I wnat to make sure I've repaired it to what it was originally (or as close as I can)?

I am sure I haven't captured what you wanted to see. Can you guide me to better photos?

There is a diagonal brace under the floor, IIRC. Missing from these pics.

Here is a pic of the whole bottom, which shows the diagonal brace Tim is remembering correctly.
