In the event that I change out my hurricane 4 popper for something else.........
Anybody have an opinion on what it should be, besides the dauntless? What would be a reliable powerplant with the least amount of hassle to install? Will a
350 chevy fit? Is there another popular v6 that will mate to the 3-speed?After my post on top speed, I am still on the fence. I maay keep the hurricane, but I may not. It depends on what I find when I rip it apart.

You'll need an adapter regardless. The SBC was a popular swap for many years, but is less popular today because modern V6s are easy to source and fit better. The Buick and Chevy V6s are both good ... do a search and you'll find lots of info. There's lots to read on the Novak site too.

If you're looking at 350, I'd look into the Buick 350 over the Chebby.

Nope. Buick has a front mount distributor, Chevy is in the rear which makes for some fun fitting most of the time.
