Fuel Vent Hose for 1971 CJ5

I am having to replace my fuel filler hose on my 71 CJ 5 and am thinking I might as well go ahead and replace the vent hose as well. I have the filler hose on lock, however, when looking to order the part for the vent hose, it only lists for Jeeps from 1978-86 and another one on the same site for Jeeps from 1982-86.

What gives? Will the one for the 78-86 fit my Jeep too?

I recall that you can use the later vent hose but you have to cut it to length. Not 100% certain though.

Don't lose the bulkhead fitting (in the filler hose) - there's no source for that except another Jeep!

 

Thanks for the advice....but I am not real sure what the bulkhead fitting is....do you see my novice coming through?
