New switch as of 2 years ago. Worked fine until a week ago. There is 12V to switch and when the two leads are jumpered brake lights come on bright. When the 12V lead is attached and brakes pushed only a few milliamps of current flow, not enough to light the bulbs. So, is it the switch? Maybe an air bubble in switch? Any other possibilities?:v6:

    It's the switch I'd bet.

If you confirm that you have a real good wire connection on both sides of the switch and it's still not working then . . . it's the switch.

    Switch.

You can disconnect both leads and put an ohmmeter across the switch terminals. Resistance should be very low when the brakes are applied.

Ahh, I haven't done that yet. I spent a lot of time getting everything leak free and bled. I don't want to open the system until I'm sure. I want to test as much as I can before I do. Thanks for the replies, even on something small the more minds the better.:v6:

My dad had two of them go bad within a year (he had two plumbed in) that were purchased and installed at the same time when he built the Jeep....
    Mine still has the original...
