Anti Chatter Kit?

I have seen Anti Chatter kits for the 225 V6... What does it do? Do I need one?

 

It was an attempt by Jeep to repair a customer complaint of clutch chatter or shudder on initial take off, only with the V6 and standard. Don't know if was ever a recall, never seen any paperwork that would indicate it was. Here's a scan of the first page of the instructions that comes with the kit.

 

That sounds like what I have on mine -mine is simply a bracket from the passenger side head that extends out under the battery box.The shock is mounted there then extends to a bracket on the outside of the frame a few inches below the frame.I need to learn how to post pictures. This to me looks like something you wouldn't want on the trail-just my.02
